More than likely. Grandparents and other relatives may not substitute their information for the parent's information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) unless they have legally adopted the student. Even if your parents don't claim you as a dependant on their taxes or if you are not living with them, you still may be considered a dependant by FAFSA.
