What is a certificate program?

SUNY Ulster offers certificate programs which focus on specific skills. These programs range from 13 to 35 credits, and are generally designed to be completed in one year. When a student has completed a certficiate program they will have the knowledge to purse employment in the area their certificate. Additionally, the majority of certficate programs offered at SUNY Ulster can be transferred into an A.A.S. degree should the student want to further their education. 

Certificate Programs currently offered at SUNY Ulster include: 

  • Administrative Office Skills Certificate

  • Bookkeeping

  • Entrepreneurship Certificate

  • General Management Certificate

  • Police Basic Training

  • General Education

  • Direct Support Practice Certificate

  • Animal Science Office Assistant

  • Industrial Technology: Manufacturing Technology

  • Network Administrator
