Discussions Boards on BlackBoard are a tool Professors use for many assignments, espcially when they want student's to interact with eachother. When you are in your BlackBoard shell a Discussion Board is marked with a logo that looks like a piece of paper with a thumbtack on it.
When you click on a Discussion Board you will then either have the option to see the other posts that other students post, or be required to make your own post before you can see others. To make a discussion post you should see a button that says, "Create Thread." You will then see the course description, and underneath of it a place to put a Title and a place to type in what you actually want in your post. Once you are done simply click "Submit" and then your post will be available for others to see.
If you want to reply to someone else's discussion post, simply click on their post, click the "Reply" button, and a box will open up to type your response. Once again make sure you to click "Submit" so your response goes through. When you a reply to a post everyone who has acess to that discussion board will be able to see it.
